Background information about 'Rrröööaaarrr'

Voivod unleashes pure Canadian metal fury with "Rrröööaaarrr", their legendary 1986 sophomore assault that cemented their status as thrash innovators. This isn't just another metal album – it's a sonic manifesto of technical brutality and raw energy that helped define the Quebec metal scene. From the opening salvo of "Korgüll The Exterminator" to the devastating finale of "To The Death", Voivod delivers nine tracks of uncompromising aggression that showcases their unique blend of speed, precision, and apocalyptic themes.

What makes this reissue absolutely essential is the treasure trove of archival material that reveals the band's evolution from their earliest days. The "Spectrum '86" live recordings capture Voivod at their most ferocious, while the rough mix demos and early rehearsal tapes from 1983-1984 offer fascinating glimpses into their creative process. The inclusion of their very first show from 1983 is pure gold for metal historians, featuring covers of Motörhead, Venom, and Judas Priest that influenced their sound.
