Background information about 'With Fear I Kiss The Burning Darkness'

When Swedish death metal pioneers At The Gates unleashed "With Fear I Kiss The Burning Darkness" in 1993, they didn't just create an album – they forged a blueprint that would influence countless bands across the globe. This masterpiece stands as a towering achievement in the Gothenburg metal scene, showcasing the band's revolutionary approach to melodic death metal that seamlessly weaves intricate guitar harmonies with devastating brutality.

The album captures At The Gates at their most adventurous, incorporating black metal elements and philosophical lyricism that elevates the music beyond mere aggression. Tracks like "Beyond Good And Evil" and "The Architects" demonstrate the band's ability to craft complex compositions that never lose their emotional impact. The guest appearance by Matti Karki of Dismember adds another layer of authenticity to this already legendary recording. This clear vinyl edition from Plastic Head gives collectors the chance to own this cornerstone of Swedish extreme metal in pristine format.
