When German four-piece Bees Made Honey In The Vein Tree began charting the course after their acclaimed 2023 full-length "Aion", they knew one thing for certain: the next move had to be more melodic. Everything else was left to chance and the raw chemistry of creation. The result, "In Between Strides", finds the Stuttgart-based collective recording across a dizzying array of spaces — a cavernous cellar, a concert stage, an indoor balcony, a living room, their rehearsal space, and even the studio where their debut "Medicine" first took shape. This fragmented, spontaneous approach breathes life into every groove. Texturally and stylistically, the band shifts from ambient drone into shimmering shoegaze, weaving in acoustic elements that feel both intimate and expansive. Each track stands as a distinct facet of the band\u2019s ever-growing vocabulary. Formed in 2014 by four childhood friends, Bees Made Honey In The Vein Tree originally carved their niche with a sound rooted in ambient psychedelic doom. But "In Between Strides" turns rage into reflection — the songs open up wide, letting melodies flow freely and unforced. This is a band unafraid to evolve, and the results taste absolutely delicious.
