Background information about 'Diabolical Death Mass'
After nearly two decades of silence, Bewitched has returned from the shadows with "Diabolical Death Mass", their first studio offering since 2006. This Swedish black/thrash metal powerhouse has been resurrected on stages worldwide and has now reunited with Osmose Productions to deliver what might be their most uncompromising work yet. The album unleashes 11 tracks of pure old-school black/thrash fury that feels like a direct transmission from the genre's golden era.
From the atmospheric intro "Sanguinis Altare" to the crushing finale "Enforcer of Evil", every moment crackles with the same malevolent energy that made their earlier works legendary. Tracks like "Into the Fire" and "Black Spells & Unclean Spirits" showcase the band's mastery of brutal riffing and anthemic songwriting, while maintaining that uncompromising dark atmosphere that defines true black/thrash. This isn't just a comeback – it's a statement that some forces of darkness never truly die.
