Background information about 'Field Of Swords'
Twenty years into their crusade, Bloodbound return with their most ambitious campaign yet – "Field Of Swords" stands as a testament to Swedish power metal mastery that'll leave you breathless and begging for more. This isn't just another concept album; it's a full-scale medieval warfare experience that transports you straight into the bloodstained battlefields of the Middle Ages, where superior swordsmen carved their legends in steel and sacrifice.
From the moment "Field Of Swords" thunders to life, you know you're in for something special. The title track storms forward with Bloodbound's signature blend of melodic prowess and crushing heaviness, while "As Empires Fall" follows the crusaders east with epic storytelling that'll give you chills. "Defenders Of Jerusalem" showcases the band's matured songwriting, exploring themes of loss and victory with devastating emotional impact. The album's crown jewel comes with "The Nine Crusades", featuring Brittney Slayes from Unleash The Archers – a collaboration that elevates this record to absolutely legendary status.
