Background information about 'Blunted At Birth'
Holy smokes! Cannabis Corpse delivers a bone-crushing debut that'll leave you absolutely blazed with its sheer brutality. "Blunted At Birth" is a relentless assault of Floridian death metal mastery that pays twisted homage to the genre's legends while carving out its own dank territory. The Hall brothers – LandPhil on bass/vocals and Josh "Hallhammer" on drums – have crafted seven tracks of pure cannabinoid carnage that merge jackhammer beats with sick, guttural vocals in the most beautifully demented way possible.
From the opening title track to the closing "When Weed Replaces Life", this album is an uncompromising journey through crazed weed mayhem that showcases the band's primal love for brutal death metal. Tracks like "Staring Through My Eyes That Are Red" and "Force Fed Shitty Grass" demonstrate their ability to blend crushing riffs with their signature cannabis-themed lyrical approach. The production captures every crushing moment with crystal clarity, making this essential listening for anyone craving that old-school Florida death metal sound with a distinctly herbal twist.
