Background information about 'Split'
When two titans of underground death metal collide, the result is nothing short of earth-shattering brutality. This split release brings together Japan's doom-laden death merchants Coffins with the experimental horror of Otesanek, creating a perfect storm of crushing heaviness that will leave listeners gasping for air. Coffins deliver their trademark blend of suffocating doom and old-school death metal with "Evil Infection", "Only Corpse", and "Acid Orgy" – three tracks that showcase why they've become legends in the extreme metal underground.
The Japanese masters craft their sonic assault with the precision of seasoned veterans, each riff dripping with malevolent intent and crushing weight. Otesanek closes out this devastating affair with "Narcotic Hues", a nightmarish journey into experimental death metal territories that pushes boundaries while maintaining the raw intensity that makes this split so compelling. This limited pressing captures both bands at their most vicious, offering a glimpse into the darker corners of the metal underground where only the most dedicated followers dare to venture.
