Background information about 'Blasphemy Made Flesh / None So Vile'
Two of the most celebrated albums in the annals of death metal converge in this remastered edition. Cryptopsy's "Blasphemy Made Flesh" and "None So Vile" are seminal works that encapsulate brutal intricacies and visceral narratives. The former album heralds the band's evolution from underground obscurity to cult status with tracks like "Defenestration" and "Open Face Surgery," which display a relentless barrage of blast beats and guttural vocals. With its raw energy and ferocious technicality, it set a new standard for extremity.
Meanwhile, "None So Vile" continues this sonic onslaught with an even darker tone. Tracks such as "Crown Of Horns" and "Slit Your Guts" push the boundaries of musical chaos, blending savage riffs with intricate drum patterns that challenge the listener's endurance. This compilation not only revisits these masterpieces but enhances them for a contemporary audience who wishes to experience the full force of Cryptopsy's early genius.
