Background information about 'Deth Red Sabaoth'

There's something about Glenn Danzig that just refuses to fade into the shadows, and "Deth Red Sabaoth" is the proof in the pudding. Released back in 2010, this ninth studio album saw the man himself stepping back into the producer's chair, delivering a record that feels like a foul wind blowing in from some forgotten graveyard. It's heavy, it's stomping, and it's got that unmistakable Danzig swagger — part Elvis croon, part Lovecraftian horror, all leather and attitude. The man's voice? Still sounds like it's rising from the bottom of a well, dripping with menace and melody.

What makes "Deth Red Sabaoth" stand out in the Danzig catalog is the sheer muscle behind it. Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative) pummels the drums with a thunderous, almost ritualistic precision, while Tommy Victor lays down those riffs like rusty razor blades. Tracks like "On a Wicked Night" and "The Revengeful" hit with a primal force that recalls the early Misfits energy filtered through decades of doom and blues. This is the album that climbed higher on the charts than anything since "Danzig 4" — and for good reason. It's Glenn at his most focused, most pissed-off, and most captivating.
