Background information about 'The Bestiary'

Medieval fantasy metal phenomenon Castle Rat conjure up something truly magical with "The Bestiary", a riff-laden compendium that reads like an ancient tome brought to thunderous life. This captivating LP weaves together 13 allegorical tales of mythic beasts and the enigmatic Wizard who binds their stories, creating a sonic odyssey that's both bewitching and unforgettable. Each track serves as a chapter in this mystical narrative, blending powerful heavy anthems with dark enchantments that transport listeners to a world where dragons soar and legends come alive.

The band's approach to medieval fantasy metal is nothing short of masterful, crafting cautionary tales from forgotten realms with the kind of authenticity that makes you believe these creatures actually existed. The production captures both the grandeur and intimacy of their vision - massive, crushing riffs that could wake sleeping giants paired with intricate storytelling that reveals new details with every listen. It's the kind of album that demands to be experienced as a complete journey rather than individual songs.
