Background information about 'Reinkaos (20th Anniversary)'
Dissection delivers their ultimate statement with "Reinkaos", a monumental farewell that stands as Swedish black metal's most profound spiritual declaration. Originally unleashed on Walpurgis Night 2006, this concluding opus transcends typical extreme metal boundaries to become something genuinely otherworldly. Every element screams perfection - from the majestic compositions that blend melodic black metal mastery with anti-cosmic philosophy, to Timo Ketola's haunting artwork that perfectly captures the album's dark essence.
This isn't mere entertainment dressed in Satanic imagery; "Reinkaos" represents authentic Luciferian spirituality channeled through eleven tracks of pure sonic invocation. Jon Nödtveidt's vision reaches its apex here, creating music that feels both timeless and utterly complete. The album's grandiose atmosphere and otherworldly presence make it a black diamond of exceptional elegance and vigour, serving as the perfect conclusion to one of black metal's most important legacies.
