Background information about 'Geysterzvvang'
"Geysterzvvang" emerges from the depths of the Bavarian forest like a spectral manifestation, compelling devils, witches, and dark spirits of the netherworld to rise during the rough nights between the years. Drudensang has crafted something truly haunting here - a sonic journey that feels both ancient and otherworldly, drawing from the darkest corners of Germanic folklore and occult traditions. The album's title itself suggests a mystical compulsion, a summoning of forces that lurk beyond the veil of our mundane reality.
The atmosphere throughout "Geysterzvvang" is thick with malevolent energy, each track serving as an incantation designed to bridge the gap between our world and the shadowy realms beyond. Drudensang's approach to black metal feels deeply rooted in the traditions of the genre while maintaining a distinctly personal and regional flavor that sets it apart from more conventional releases. The production maintains that raw, unpolished edge that allows the music's primal power to shine through unfiltered.
