Background information about 'Fires Within'
Austrian heavy metal outfit Eisenhand delivers their stunning debut full-length with "Fires Within", a record that absolutely crackles with authentic old-school energy. Following their promising demo releases "Demonstration Tape" (2018) and "White Fortress" (2019), the band has crafted seven tracks of majestic, pre-thrash heavy metal that feels both timeless and refreshingly immediate. The album showcases their ability to weave supernatural tales through moody melodicism and bristling electricity, with each composition flowing seamlessly into epic five-to-nine-minute journeys.
What makes "Fires Within" so compelling is Eisenhand's masterful balance between ancient mysticism and modern execution. Tracks like "Steel City Sorcery", "Dizzying Heights", and the reprised "White Fortress" demonstrate their knack for creating memorable anthems that stick with you long after the final notes fade. The 45-minute runtime feels perfectly calibrated – every moment serves the greater narrative of myth, magic, and metal mastery. Their sound recalls the glory days of early power metal and speed metal, but with a distinctly Austrian flavor that sets them apart from their contemporaries.
For fans of: Manilla Road, Cirith Ungol, Atlantean Kodex, and Visigoth
