Background information about 'Rats in the Temple'
Flotsam and Jetsam have been flying the thrash flag since the mid-eighties, and with "Rats in the Temple" they prove once again that age is just a number when the riffs are this sharp. The Arizona veterans pack this record with everything that made them legends - breakneck speed, razor-wire guitar work and that unmistakable vocal attack that cuts through the mix like a hot knife through butter.
From the opening salvo of "Harvesting the Hate" to the closing crunch of "Not Going down that Way", this album is a relentless assault on the senses. Tracks like "Damnation" and "Absolution" show the band's knack for weaving melody into the chaos, while "Blame the Knife" and "Rats in the Temple" deliver the kind of pit-inducing aggression that has kept their live shows legendary for decades. The Ghost behind my Door adds a darker, more atmospheric touch, proving these guys still have plenty of tricks up their sleeves. This is thrash metal played by people who live and breathe it - no gimmicks, no filler, just pure, unadulterated metal fury.
