Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath is the fifth full-length assault from these Scottish warriors of cheese-and-thunder, and it picks up right where 2015's Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards left off. This time, the spotlight is on Angus McFife V, Crown Prince of Fife, who last graced us with the 2022 single \u201cFly Away.\u201d Now he's embarking on a perilous journey through space and time, heading straight into the distant future of 1993 where his destiny awaits.
Musically, this thing is a glorious mess \u2014 in the best possible way. Over eleven tracks, GLORYHAMMER throw classic power metal, thrash, synth-rock, and sweeping orchestral soundscapes into a blender and hit puree. The result is their most diverse album yet, but don't worry: those massive, stupidly catchy choruses are still very much intact. Produced by the band themselves and mixed by the legendary Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe), this is GLORYHAMMER like you've never heard them before. Bigger, bolder, and unapologetically epic.
