Graveyard have never been a band content to simply ride the wave of a revival. With “Innocence & Decadence”, the Gothenburg four-piece prove once again that the seventies aren't a costume they wear, but a bloodstream they bleed. From the very first notes of “Magnetic Shunk”, there's a swagger here that most modern rock acts can only dream of faking. The riffs are thick, the grooves are deep, and Joakim Nilsson's voice carries that ragged, soulful weight that makes every line feel lived-in rather than performed.

What strikes you across these eleven tracks is how effortlessly the band swings between moods. “The Apple And The Tree” rolls with a bluesy, almost gospel warmth, while “Exit 97” kicks the door down with a hard-charging urgency that recalls the best highway-burning rock of decades past. “Too Much Is Not Enough” is pure, unapologetic boogie, and “From A Hole In The Wall” dips into something darker and more introspective, the kind of track that rewards repeat listens with a headphone and a dim room. The production is warm and analog-leaning, giving the whole record a smoky, late-night atmosphere that feels both timeless and immediate.

It's a record about contradictions, the innocent impulses and the decadent indulgences that live side by side in all of us. Graveyard don't preach, they just play, and the honesty in that approach is exactly why “Innocence & Decadence” lands so hard.
