What makes this record such a landmark is how effortlessly it welds thrash metal to hardcore punk, long before that crossover became a marketing category. Katon W. De Pena's high-pitched, glass-shattering wail sits on top of riffs that never sit still, and the songwriting is tighter and more furious than anything the band had done before. The whole thing is over before you have finished your coffee, and that is precisely the point. Short, relentless, direct, no filler, no ballads, no mercy.
