Background information about 'Glass Future'
Every track on Howling Giant's sophomore effort "Glass Future" weaves its own narrative tapestry, yet somehow all these stories feel interconnected - like chapters from the same cosmic tome. The Nashville trio, comprised of fantasy and sci-fi enthusiasts, has crafted an album that practically begs for visual adaptation, whether as a graphic novel or full-blown cinematic experience. Their lyrical world-building is matched only by the thunderous energy and acrobatic musicianship that explodes from every groove.
"Glass Future" represents both continuation and evolution from their acclaimed debut "The Space Between Worlds" (2019). The band masterfully blends classic metal and hard rock foundations with spacey, prog-infused passages that drift into desert and psychedelic metal territories. Rock organs add vintage flavor while catchy hooks anchor soaring harmonized vocals that could make even the most jaded metalhead take notice. With bassist Sebastian Baltes (son of Accept's legendary Peter Baltes) now fully integrated as co-writer, Howling Giant has taken a gargantuan leap forward in both songcraft and sonic ambition.
