Background information about 'Magnificent Glorification Of Lucifer'

There are albums that feel like a door being kicked open, and "Magnificent Glorification Of Lucifer" is exactly that kind of record. Inquisition built their reputation on a sound that refuses to be polite: those unmistakable rasping croaks, the hypnotic tremolo spirals, the way a riff can circle for minutes and suddenly drop into a slow, crushing crawl. This is black metal stripped down to ritual and repetition, and it works because the duo never lose the thread of the melody hiding inside the murk.

What makes this one special is the balance between atmosphere and sheer force. Tracks like "Baptized In Black Goat Blood" and "Under The Black Inverted Pentagram" move with a strange, almost ceremonial patience, while "Dark Mutilation Rites" and the title track lean into that grim, rolling groove that has always been the band's secret weapon. The production is raw but never sloppy, giving every cymbal wash and every bass rumble room to breathe. Put the needle down, turn it up, and let the whole thing wash over you.

Now, the physical side of this reissue is a treat for collectors. The red smoked vinyl looks absolutely stunning in the light, and the gatefold sleeve plus poster make it a proper object to hold, not just a file to stream. This is one of those records that reminds you why the format still matters.
