Background information about 'En Vivo! Live In Santiago De Chile'

There is something almost absurd about a band thirty-odd years deep into a career still playing like they have a point to prove, and "En Vivo!" catches Iron Maiden doing exactly that in front of a Chilean crowd that simply refuses to stand still. Recorded at Santiago's Estadio Nacional during the final stretch of the Final Frontier World Tour, this is a band running on pure adrenaline, dust and the roar of tens of thousands of voices singing every word back at them. Bruce Dickinson is in ferocious form, half ringmaster, half preacher, and the band behind him locks in with that unmistakable twin-guitar gallop that has been their signature since day one.

What makes this release such a treat is the setlist. Sure, you get the warhorses — "The Trooper", "Fear Of The Dark", "Hallowed Be Thy Name" — and they still land like sledgehammers. But the real thrill is hearing newer material like "Satellite 15... The Final Frontier", "El Dorado", "The Talisman" and the sprawling "When The Wild Wind Blows" hold their own against the classics in a stadium setting. The second disc sweetens the deal with a documentary and the promo clips for the Final Frontier singles, giving a proper behind-the-scenes look at a tour of this magnitude. Big screens, bigger choruses, and a band clearly having the time of their lives.
