After crafting two gut-wrenching albums "Sol" and "Måne" in isolation, Ström expanded his vision by recruiting guitarist Sebastian "Hravn" Svedlund and drummer Stefan "Jansson" Jansson, transforming Jord into a full-fledged band. This evolution brings the weight and muscle that their haunting compositions desperately craved, creating a towering windswept slab of atmospheric black metal that drags listeners deeper into the forest.

Recorded once again with Micke Andersson at Studio Soundport, "Emellan Träden" maintains Jord's atmospheric core while delivering harder-hitting passages and deeper emotional resonance. The album weaves seamlessly through towering riffs, soaring clean passages, and hypnotic rhythms punctuated by moments of total collapse. Songs like "Hon Kallar" and "King of the Night" showcase the band's ability to blend post-rock and folk undercurrents with their black metal foundation, creating a raw and haunting journey through icy melodies and endless darkness.
