Background information about 'Those Of The Unlight'

Swedish black metal legends Marduk return with a monumental tribute to their landmark sophomore effort. "Those of the Unlight" stands as one of the most influential albums in black metal history, and this deluxe triple LP boxset proves exactly why. Originally unleashed in 1993, this masterpiece showcased Marduk at a crucial crossroads – moving beyond their death metal roots while perfecting the dark, atmospheric black metal sound that would define generations.

The album captures Marduk in their most haunting form. Tracks like "Wolves", "Burn My Coffin", and the absolutely devastating title track demonstrate a perfect balance between crushing heaviness and spine-chilling atmosphere. Joakim af Gravf's vocal debut with the band remains one of black metal's most commanding performances, his voice cutting through the darkness like a blade. This remaster by Devo Andersson breathes new life into these timeless compositions while preserving their original menace.
