Background information about 'Thunderball (B-Stock)'
Melvins have long stood as a pillar of innovation within the alternative music scene. With their latest release, 'Thunderball', the band continues to defy convention and push the boundaries of sound. This album sees them returning to their roots as Melvins 1983, reuniting with original drummer Mike Dillard. The result is an explosive concoction of raw energy and unfiltered creativity that harkens back to their early days while still exploring new sonic landscapes.
The tracks on 'Thunderball' are a testament to the band's ability to blend heavy riffs with unexpected elements. Collaborations with electronic artists Void Manes and Ni Maîtres add layers of complexity and depth, creating a sonic tapestry that is both familiar and refreshingly new. Recorded at Sound of Sirens Studios by Toshi Kasai, this album encapsulates decades of musical evolution while remaining true to the spirit that has defined Melvins for over forty years.
