MIDNIGHT · Rebirth by Blasphemy | PICTURE DISC LP

Picture disc vinyl in picture disc die cut cover. Strictly limited to 400 numbered copies.

Background information about 'Rebirth by Blasphemy'

Midnight have never pretended to be anything other than what they are: a filthy, chrome-plated sledgehammer swung straight at the skull of polite society. "Rebirth by Blasphemy" is the sound of a band who worships at the altar of first-wave black metal, Venom, and the entire gutter-dwelling tradition of speed-crazed punk, and they play it with a grin full of broken teeth. Every riff here feels like it was dragged out of a rusted-out Trans Am in a Cleveland parking lot at 3 a.m., all sleaze, all swagger, all glorious, unrepentant noise.

What makes this record such a thrill is how ruthlessly economical it is. There is no fat, no filler, no moment of self-indulgence — just one barbed hook after another, delivered with the kind of reckless energy that most bands spend entire careers trying to fake. The production is raw but never sloppy, the kind of mix that lets every cymbal crash and every snarled vocal line land like a fist. It is ugly in the best possible way, and it is impossible not to move to.

This picture disc pressing is strictly limited to 400 copies, which means it will not sit around waiting for you. If you have any love for the darker, dirtier corners of heavy music, this is one to grab before it vanishes into collections where it will never be seen again.
