From the moment the title track kicks in, you know this isn't nostalgia bait. \u201cFar From God\u201d burns with that tragic vampiric romance the genre was built on, but there's a rawness here that refuses to be polite. Expansive, melancholic, powerful — a tribute to wolves, to friends lost, to the whole damn journey. Produced by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Paradise Lost, Sólstafir, Ghost), this thing sounds massive, luminous yet shadowed like a black diamond. This isn't just a good Moonspell album. This is the album that saves Gothic Metal from itself.
