Background information about 'Ghosts Of Europa'

Mortiis returns with "Ghosts of Europa", an album that stands as a creative liberation for Norway's most enigmatic electronic visionary. This isn't just another chapter in the Mortiis saga – it's a complete sonic rebirth that showcases an artist who has finally broken free from all constraints to create his most authentic work yet. The album pulses with electronic rock energy while drawing from industrial, cinematic, and darkly atmospheric influences that create genuinely haunting soundscapes.

What makes "Ghosts of Europa" truly exceptional is how it captures the essence of creative struggle and transformation. Each track feels like a piece of Mortiis' soul laid bare, from the title track's dystopian grandeur to the haunting melodies of "The Faith That Fades Away". The production, handled by legendary engineer Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, System of a Down), gives these dark electronic visions the perfect sonic treatment they deserve. This is cinematic music at its finest – expansive, strange, and utterly captivating.
