Background information about 'Envoy Of Lucifer'

After three highly acclaimed albums, "Envoy Of Lucifer" represents the fourth and final full-length offering from Swedish black metal veterans Nifelheim. Originally released in 2007, this record stands as arguably their most professionally crafted work to date. Benefiting from a pristine all-analogue production and the band's accumulated years of experience, the album showcases intricate arrangements, proficient guitar solos, and the introduction of new elements to Nifelheim's established sound. The lifelong worship of Iron Maiden by Hellbutcher and Tyrant has never been more apparent than on this release.

Despite these evolutionary steps, "Envoy Of Lucifer" remains unmistakably Nifelheim, retaining all the trademarks that made their previous releases so compelling. For this re-release, the album has been mastered at the correct speed for the first time, allowing listeners to finally experience how it was originally intended to sound. The result is a perfect balance between the band's raw black metal roots and their growing sophistication as musicians, creating what many consider to be their definitive statement.
