Background information about 'White Darkness (Re-Release)'
After almost 20 years, Nightingale's seventh album and prog/AOR masterpiece, White Darkness, is finally receiving the definitive re-issue it deserves. Remastered by none other than songwriter, frontman, and producer Dan Swanö (Opeth, Katatonia, Oceans Of Slumber), this release breathes new life into a classic. Originally unveiled in 2007, White Darkness effortlessly bridges '70s rock, AOR, progressive rock, and metal, creating a symphonic yet incredibly catchy sound. It features stand-out tracks like "The Fields of Life," "To My Inspiration," "Trial and Error," and the touching, piano-driven title track.
This re-release is available as a limited deluxe 2CD Jewelcase in an O-Card, packed with an impressive total of 22 bonus tracks! For the first time ever, White Darkness is also being released in LP format, pressed on very fitting 180g white vinyl (10 tracks). Studiously restored and renewed by Dan Swanö himself, Nightingale fans and collectors alike will surely celebrate this essential and definitive edition of White Darkness. Don't miss out on experiencing this masterwork as never before!
