Background information about 'Religion Of Spiritual Violence'
From the frozen wastelands of Murmansk comes a masterpiece of arctic black metal fury that'll freeze your soul to its core. Old Wainds delivers their most refined yet barbarically intense statement with "Religion Of Spiritual Violence", an album that stands as testament to nearly three decades of uncompromising northern darkness.
This isn't just another black metal album – it's a spiritual journey through the endless Russian winter, where temperatures drop below human endurance and only the strongest survive. The band's evolution from their earlier raw demos is staggering, showcasing sophisticated songwriting that never loses that primal, ice-cold edge that made them legends. Every track pulses with the kind of authentic darkness that can only come from a place where the sun disappears for months at a time. The remastering by Jack Control and Maor Appelbaum at Enormous Door brings out every nuance of this arctic assault while preserving its raw, unfiltered power.
