Viola black splatter vinyl in gatefold sleeve. Remastered reissue. Limited to 200 copies.

Background information about 'Älvefärd'

There is a special kind of magic that only happens when a record stops trying to impress you and simply starts telling stories, and "Älvefärd" is exactly that record. Otyg's debut full length has spent decades as a well-kept secret among those who dig deeper than the usual playlists, and now it finally gets the vinyl treatment it always deserved. This is Scandinavian folk metal at its most unhurried: clean vocals, violin, mouth harp and sparse guitars weaving together like mist over a northern lake at dawn. Nothing here is forced, nothing is padded. Vintersorg and Cia pour genuine passion into every line, their voices carrying a warmth that feels handed down rather than performed, grounded in a tone that is honest and deliberately unpolished. Simple arrangements, yet never empty. Every note earns its place.

Remastered in 2025, this reissue sharpens the details without ever sanding off the calm and warmth that make the album what it is. It is not a record about speed or brutality. It lives in mood, tradition and sincerity, letting songs flow naturally instead of shoving them forward. For anyone who fell for Otyg, Vintersorg or the whole atmospheric folk metal tradition, this is a cornerstone release, and hearing it on wax for the very first time is reason enough to celebrate.
