Product information "PAYSAGE D'HIVER · Das Tor | BLACK 2LP"

Black double vinyl in gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves.

Background information about 'Das Tor'

When Paysage d'Hiver unleashed "Das Tor" in 2019, the Swiss black metal legends didn't just deliver an album – they crafted a monumental gateway into the frozen depths of atmospheric extremity. This double LP stands as a towering achievement in the band's discography, where Wintherr's vision reaches its most ambitious and haunting form. The four epic compositions stretch across nearly 80 minutes of pure winter desolation, each track serving as a chapter in an otherworldly narrative that feels both ancient and timelessly relevant.

"Offenbarung" opens the gates with crushing intensity, while "Macht Des Schicksals" weaves hypnotic melodies through walls of distortion that feel like avalanches in slow motion. The album's second half ventures even deeper into the abyss – "Ewig Leuchten Die Sterne" builds atmospheric tension with the patience of glacial movement, before "Schluessel" delivers the final, devastating blow. This isn't just black metal; it's a complete sonic pilgrimage through landscapes where beauty and brutality dance together in perfect, terrifying harmony. The production captures every nuance of this frozen majesty, making this vinyl edition an essential experience for anyone seeking to understand the true power of atmospheric black metal.
