Background information about 'Nightmare Logic'
This is the sophomore release that truly showcases Power Trip's evolution from their 2013 debut "Manifest Decimation". The Texas hardcore thrashers have crafted something absolutely devastating here, blending their classic Exodus-meets-Cro-Mags foundation with hooks and tightness that rivals legends like Pantera and Pentagram. Producer Arthur Rizk has captured every ounce of the band's sonic brutality while allowing their refined songwriting to shine through with crystal clarity.
What makes "Nightmare Logic" so compelling is how the band has reinvented their approach without sacrificing an ounce of aggression. Since their debut, they've not only become more proficient musicians but have developed a more nuanced and clever songwriting system that's evident throughout these eight crushing tracks. From the opening assault of "Soul Sacrifice" to the epic closer "Crucifixation", this album pushes Power Trip to new extremes while maintaining the neck-breaking intensity that made them essential listening in the first place.
For fans of: Exodus, Cro-Mags, Pantera, Pentagram and Municipal Waste
