Background information about 'The Purge'
The Purge are back with Cutthroat, and let me tell you, this one hits like a sledgehammer to the sternum. The band has carved out their own lane in the hardcore scene, and this record sharpens every blade they've ever wielded. From the opening riff to the final breakdown, Cutthroat is relentless, unapologetic, and dripping with attitude. There's no filler here, no wasted seconds, just pure, unfiltered hardcore aggression that grabs you by the throat and refuses to let go. The guitar work is razor-sharp, the drums pound with military precision, and the vocals tear through the mix with a raw, visceral intensity that demands your full attention.
What makes Cutthroat stand out is how the band balances brutal force with genuine musicality. The riffs are catchy without ever selling out, the breakdowns are devastating without feeling cheap, and there's a sense of urgency that runs through every single track. This is hardcore made by people who live and breathe it, and you can hear that authenticity in every bar. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to the scene, Cutthroat is an essential addition to any serious collection. Crank it loud, feel the walls shake, and let The Purge remind you what real hardcore sounds like.
