Background information about 'Infectious Vermin'
"Infectious Vermin" by Rats Of Gomorrah heralds a new chapter in the evolution of Death Metal, where the duo dismantles genre conventions with audacity and flair. The album is a sonic tapestry woven with threads of Heavy and Speed Metal, yet rooted firmly in the Death Metal soil. Its tracks are infused with a nihilistic energy that is both captivating and unsettling, echoing themes of existential dread and societal critique through Lovecraftian narratives of pestilence. The vocal performances are as varied as they are compelling, ensuring each song resonates with a unique intensity.
Rats Of Gomorrah emerged from the depths of the underground scene in 2023, but their journey spans over a decade as part of the northern German Death Metal act Divide. "Infectious Vermin" is not just an album; it's a declaration against stagnation in metal music. Guitarist and vocalist Daniel Stelling, alongside drummer Moritz Paulsen, crafts an auditory experience that challenges listeners to embrace change while honoring their roots. The album’s aggressive riffs and infectious hooks create an irresistible force that beckons audiences into its dark embrace.
