The album tears through twelve tracks in just over 32 minutes, wasting zero seconds on filler. From the moment "Jaws" kicks in with its pummeling groove, you know you're in for a ride. The production is raw but punchy — think early Every Time I Die meeting the precision of Converge with a healthy dose of Southern sludge swagger. "Low" and "Shipwreck" showcase the band's ability to switch from crushing breakdowns to almost hypnotic, swinging rhythms on a dime. "South X South" is a standout, with a chorus that burrows into your skull and refuses to leave.
