Background information about 'Viscera'
The sophomore release from Strigoi, titled "Viscera", emerges as a harrowing journey through the bleak and desolate landscapes of Doom and Death Metal. Produced with meticulous precision at Orgone Studios under the guidance of Jaime Gomez Arellano, this album is a testament to the band's commitment to pushing boundaries within their genre. The raw intensity captured in each track reflects an exploration into themes of despair and existential dread.
Opening with "United In Viscera," the album sets a foreboding tone that persists throughout its entirety. Tracks like "An Ocean Of Blood" and "Bathed In A Black Sun" demonstrate the band's ability to blend crushing riffs with haunting melodies, creating an atmosphere that is both oppressive and captivating.
