For the first time ever, Taake's "Noregs Vaapen" has been remixed and remastered from the original multitrack recordings, and the difference is staggering. This is the album where Norway's black metal institution Hoest truly sharpened his blade to its finest edge. Originally unleashed in 2011, this fifth studio full-length has long been hailed as the band's crowning achievement, and hearing it with this newfound clarity only cements that reputation. The trademark riffs bite harder, the melodies cut deeper, and those venomous vocals slash right through the mix.

The record weaves through black'n'roll grooves, chilling mellotron passages, and even that now-legendary banjo solo without ever losing its cold Norwegian heart.
