Background information about 'War Machine'

After eight years of silence, Tank roared back to life in 2010 with "War Machine", marking a bold new chapter following founder Algy Ward's departure. With Rainbow veteran Doogie White stepping up to the microphone and the core duo of guitarists Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans still firing on all cylinders, this album proved that Tank could evolve without losing their metallic edge. The band's shift from their raw street-metal origins toward a more polished classic rock approach might have raised eyebrows, but "War Machine" silenced the doubters with its sheer quality and craftsmanship.

This remastered edition on High Roller Records brings the album's power into sharp focus, utilizing the original unmastered mix as the foundation for Patrick W. Engel's expert touch. The three bonus tracks add serious value – "Dead Man Walking" showcases that irresistible Saxon vibe that Cliff Evans and Doogie White crafted together, while the reworked "Honour And Blood" demonstrates why this track remains a live favorite. The inclusion of the 2012 Polish live recording of "Phoenix Rising" captures Tank in their element, proving their stage prowess remained undiminished.
