Before Emperor conquered the black metal throne, there was Thou Shalt Suffer – the primordial beast that birthed legends. This collection unveils the dark genesis of Samoth and Ihsahn's musical journey, capturing their raw death metal roots from 1991 when they were still cutting their teeth in the Norwegian underground. "Into The Woods Of Belial" isn't just a reissue; it's an archaeological excavation of pure metallic darkness that predates the symphonic grandeur we'd later worship.

What makes this release absolutely essential is its uncompromising brutality mixed with that unmistakable Norwegian atmosphere.
