Back in 1994, Visceral Evisceration unleashed something absolutely extraordinary upon the metal world with "Incessant Desire for Palatable Flesh". This Austrian outfit crafted one of the most paradoxical and hauntingly beautiful albums ever recorded – a masterpiece that marries the most grotesque lyrical imagery with absolutely stunning doom metal compositions. Picture this: the medical pathology obsessions of early Carcass meeting the majestic melancholy of Paradise Lost, and you're halfway there.

What makes this album so utterly compelling is its schizophrenic beauty. While the lyric sheet reads like a medical examiner's nightmare, featuring tracks like "Chewing Female Genital Parts" and "Gangling Menstrual Blood-broth for Supper", the actual music is pure gothic doom perfection.
