Background information about 'Anthropophagy'
In 1987, merely a year after their groundbreaking debut album "Bloody Vengeance", Brazilian extreme metal pioneers Vulcano returned with "Anthropophagy", an album that was more mature but equally furious, benefiting greatly from the band's growing live activity. This release showcases a perfect blend of razor-sharp tightness and unpredictable riff madness, making it a must-experience for both new listeners and longtime fans. High Roller Records has given this 2024 edition a deluxe reissue treatment, expertly restored and remastered by studio veteran Patrick W. Engel.
"Anthropophagy" is a testament to Vulcano's unwavering intensity and creative evolution. The album captures the frenetic energy of their live performances while showcasing an unprecedented level of musical sophistication. Each track on this LP serves as a gritty reminder of the band's influence in the thrash metal scene, ensuring its place as a timeless piece in the annals of metal history.
