Background information about 'Insanium'
There are albums that simply demand your full attention, and then there's Insanium — the debut full-length from WHOM GODS DESTROY, a supergroup that sounds less like a side project and more like a divine intervention in modern progressive metal. Featuring members of Between The Buried And Me, Symphony X, and ex-Death, this is a record that wears its virtuosity like a badge of honor, but never at the expense of the song.
From the moment the opening track kicks in, you're hit with a wall of technical precision and sheer emotional weight. The riffs are labyrinthine, the rhythm section is locked in tighter than a vault, and the vocal delivery swings between haunting melodies and guttural aggression with breathtaking ease. Insanium is not background music — it's a journey through chaos, beauty, and everything in between. The production is massive, allowing every intricate detail to breathe while maintaining a crushing heaviness that keeps you on edge. This is progressive metal at its most exhilarating, unafraid to take risks and equally unafraid to land a devastating hook.
