Background information about 'A Bit Of Devil'
Zodiac delivers a powerhouse of classic hard rock with "A Bit Of Devil", an album that channels the raw energy and swagger of 70s southern rock into something undeniably fresh yet timelessly familiar. The band's approach to heavy blues-driven rock is both authentic and passionate, with each track showcasing their ability to craft memorable hooks while maintaining that gritty, no-nonsense attitude that made the genre legendary. From the thunderous opener "A Bit Of Devil" to the epic ten-minute journey of "Coming Home", this collection demonstrates why Zodiac has earned their place among today's premier purveyors of honest rock and roll.
The album's standout moments include the carnival-esque groove of "Carnival" and their inspired take on the cover song "Blue Jean Blues", which they make entirely their own through sheer force of personality and musical prowess. "Horror Vision" and "Thunder" showcase the band's heavier side, while tracks like "Diamond Shoes" reveal their knack for crafting anthemic choruses that stick with you long after the final note fades. The production perfectly captures the band's live energy, creating an album that feels immediate and vital.
