"Little Weight" is the latest offering from 40 Watt Sun, following up their critically acclaimed "Perfect Light." With this new album, Patrick Walker returns to a more organic and raw sound that harkens back to the band's roots. Unlike its predecessor, which was developed over an extended period with numerous collaborators, "Little Weight" was crafted in a concentrated time frame under isolated conditions. Walker, along with drummer Andrew Prestidge and bassist Roland Scriver, immersed themselves in a series of retreats to foster creativity and focus.

The album's creation was marked by an intentional simplicity, aiming to capture the immediacy and authenticity of the initial emotions that inspired the writing process. The recording sessions at Holy Mountain Studios in London were engineered and mixed by Chris Fullard, with mastering completed by Adam Gonsalves in Portland, Oregon. Tekla Vály provided the evocative cover art. The result is a collection of songs that weave together longing, love, and nostalgia into a rich tapestry of sound.
