Background information about 'Outstrider'
The Norwegian giant Abbath returns with "Outstrider," a monumental follow-up that not only meets but exceeds the high expectations set by their debut. With a refined lineup, the band has crafted an album that sees them carving out a distinct identity within the black metal genre. The album is an auditory onslaught from beginning to end, featuring massive riffs and a robust rhythmic section. These elements are seamlessly intertwined with Abbath's unmistakable vocal delivery—one of the most iconic voices in black metal today.
"Outstrider" presents an evolution in sound—more sophisticated and cohesive than its predecessor—offering listeners a fully immersive experience. Standout tracks such as "Calm in Ire (Of Hurricane)" and "Land of Khem" display the band's versatility and ability to blend aggression with melody. Fans of Immortal, 1349, and Satyricon will find this record particularly engaging as Abbath deftly navigates through various facets of black metal.
