Background information about 'Sins Of The Father'
Abramelin are back, and "Sins of the Father" hits like a freight train through a brick wall. These Australian death metal veterans have never been ones to mess around, and this record proves that age has only sharpened their teeth. From the opening salvo of "Conflagration of the Dreamers" to the closing gut-punch of "You Bleed, I Feed", this album is a relentless exercise in old-school brutality that refuses to let up for a single second.
What makes this record stand out is how effortlessly it blends classic death metal aggression with a surprisingly catchy, groove-laden undercurrent. Tracks like "The Gory Hole" and "Meet the Meat" deliver those headbang-worthy riffs that stick in your skull long after the record stops spinning, while "Sins of the Father" and "Last Rite" showcase the band's knack for building tension and releasing it with devastating precision. The production is raw enough to keep things honest, but clear enough that every guttural roar and punishing drum fill lands with maximum impact. This is death metal that respects its roots while still sounding vital and urgent in 2024.
