Background information about 'Hammerstorm'
Arkham Witch unleashes pure doom metal fury with "Hammerstorm", a crushing testament to the genre's most primal instincts. This isn't your typical slow-burn doom – it's a relentless barrage of heavy riffs and thunderous percussion that hits like a meteor strike. From the opening title track's devastating assault to the anthemic battle cry of "For Metal", these British doom merchants craft songs that feel like ancient war hymns powered by Marshall stacks.
The album's second half maintains this ferocious momentum, with "Metal Queen" delivering one of the most memorable hooks in recent doom history, while "Barbarians" and "Beings Of Fire" showcase the band's ability to balance crushing heaviness with genuine songcraft. The closing track "Burn The Witch" serves as a perfect finale, its ominous atmosphere building to an absolutely devastating climax that'll leave your speakers begging for mercy.
