Background information about 'Revelation (Re-Issue)'

If there's one band that never got the full respect they deserved while simultaneously being worshipped by those in the know, it's Armored Saint. Revelation, their 2000 comeback record, is the kind of album that makes you want to grab strangers by the collar and shout "How did you miss this?!" Right from the opening groove of Pay Dirt, John Bush's unmistakable roar — equal parts swagger and soul — reminds you why this man was handpicked by Anthrax during their creative peak. The rhythm section of Joey Vera and Gonzo Sandoval locks into a pocket so deep you could hide a body in it, while Phil Sandoval and Jeff Duncan weave riffs that are both razor-sharp and dripping with classic metal attitude.

What makes Revelation such a special beast is how it balances the band's classic American metal DNA with a modern (for 2000) crunch that never sounds dated. After Me, The Flood is pure, unrelenting fury — a track that could level buildings — while Creepy Feelings slinks along with a sinister, almost blues-drenched menace. Then there's No Me Digas, a curveball sung entirely in Spanish that somehow fits perfectly, proving these LA veterans still had surprises up their sleeves. The production is raw but massive, capturing a band that sounds hungry, reunited, and absolutely on fire. This isn't just a reissue; it's a resurrection of one of the most criminally overlooked heavy metal records of its era.
