And I, Scvlptor — their latest full-length dropping via Massacre Records — is anything but a leftovers compilation. What we've got here are eight tracks, seven of which are brand-new studio recordings plus one live crusher, and the whole thing hits like a ritual hammer to the chest.

Nergal and the gang have crafted something that feels like a bridge between the band's raw, blackened origins and the absolutely devastating death metal machine they've become. You get re-recorded versions of early gems like \u201cRise of the Blackstorm of Evil\u201d (originally from 1992's The Return of the Northern Moon) and \u201cIn Thy Pandemaeternum\u201d (from 1998's Pandemonic Incantations), and let me tell you — these sound absolutely massive now. But the real jaw-dropper? Guest appearances by Shagrath (Dimmu Borgir) on a cover of Venom's \u201cIn League With Satan\u201d and Sakis Tolis (Rotting Christ) on Bathory's \u201cThe Return of Darkness and Evil.\u201d Three generations of extreme metal royalty on one record. This is the kind of moment that makes you stop and just appreciate how far this scene has come.

The production is razor-sharp yet retains that organic, almost suffocating atmosphere Behemoth have perfected over the decades. Nergal himself calls it \u201ca sonic pilgrimage forged at the highest level\u201d — and honestly, he's not overselling it.
