There are few bands that carry the weight of extreme metal's history quite like Behemoth, and "I, Scvlptor" is yet another testament to their unrelenting fire. This isn't just a stopgap or a collection of B-sides — Nergal himself calls it "an autonomous work that bridges our past with what is new and fresh." And damn, does it deliver. Eight previously unreleased tracks, seven of them fresh studio recordings and one live eruption, clocking in at 40 minutes of pure, blasphemous intensity.

What makes "I, Scvlptor" truly special is the convergence of titans. You've got Shagrath from Dimmu Borgir lending his voice to a cover of Venom's "In League With Satan", and Sakis Tolis of Rotting Christ handling Bathory's "The Return of Darkness and Evil". It's a historic meeting of extreme metal's most iconic frontmen, paying tribute to the gods that lit the torch. The re-recorded versions of early Behemoth classics like "Rise of the Blackstorm of Evil" and "In Thy Pandemaeternum" are absolutely crushing — modern sonics meeting the raw spirit of '92 and '98. This is Behemoth at their most vital, most hungry, most defiant. A sonic pilgrimage indeed.
